Refund Policy
In effect from October 14, 2026
DomainsDealer plan fees are final once charged. We return a payment in three narrow cases only, set out in section 3. The rest of this page explains what a plan fee buys, how renewals and cancelling work, and what to do if a charge looks wrong.
1. Plan fees and commissions are different things
The Investor, Pro Broker and Brokerage plans are recurring subscriptions, billed monthly or yearly. A plan fee buys a period of access to the tools of that plan: appraisals with their comparable sales, listings, offer handling and the other features shown on the pricing page. All of it is available from the first day of each period, so the fee is earned when the period starts, whether you list ten names that month or none.
A sale commission is charged only on a completed sale, at the moment escrow releases funds, as described in our terms of service. This policy deals with plan fees.
When you subscribe, you ask us to start the service at once and you accept that any statutory withdrawal right or cooling-off period ends as soon as the service has begun.
2. What does not qualify
- A listed domain did not sell, sold for less than you hoped, or received no offers.
- An appraisal came in higher or lower than the price you later saw. Appraisals are automated estimates, not a promise of value.
- You stopped buying or selling names, or no longer need the tools.
- You did not sign in, list or appraise anything during a paid period.
- You forgot to cancel before the renewal date, or cancelled right after it.
- A renewal went through on a retry after a failed first attempt (see section 5).
- You believed the plan was a single payment. Every plan renews, and the pricing page, checkout and confirmation email say so.
- You bought Pro Broker when Investor would have done, or a yearly term instead of monthly.
- A tool you wanted is not among the features listed for your plan.
- The rest of a period after cancelling. Access runs to the end of the period and is never pro-rated.
- Activity by anyone else on your account, including a partner or assistant you gave your login to.
3. The three cases where we return a fee
Each case has to be supported by our records and the transaction record, and a refund never goes beyond the affected charge.
- Duplicate billing. A fault in our billing charged you twice for the same period.
- Unauthorised use of your card. The charge was made without your permission, you report it within 14 days, and the records show it. A statement alone does not settle it. We may ask you to confirm that you reported the misuse to your card issuer.
- Complete outage. A confirmed fault on our side made DomainsDealer wholly unusable for a continuous period, you reported it at the time, and we could not restore it. Slow appraisals, one tool misbehaving, registrar or escrow delays and problems with your own device or connection do not count.
Any refund we agree to is capped at what you paid for the affected period, goes back to the original card only, and is the whole of our liability for that charge. It does not create a right to another refund.
4. Asking for a refund
Email [email protected] from the address on your account within 14 days of the charge, with the charge date, the amount and the case from section 3 that applies. Late requests and requests from other addresses are not reviewed, and we do not reopen a request once it has been answered.
Please come to us before your bank. A chargeback opened without contacting us first is a breach of our terms of service, and the account is then closed for good.
5. Cancelling and renewals
Cancel whenever you like from the billing section of your account. Cancelling turns off all future renewals straight away, and your plan stays active until the end of the period already paid. A cancellation is not a refund request.
A plan renews by itself until you cancel. Each new period starts with your access switched on and its fee due. When a card is declined, the fee is still owed and our payment operator tries again over the following days; each retry is for the same open invoice, not a new charge. Cancelling during that time stops the renewals that follow, but the invoice for the period already under way remains payable, and once paid you keep access to its end. To avoid a renewal, cancel before the date shown in your account.
6. What we keep on record
Before you pay, the checkout shows the plan, the price, the billing period and that it renews automatically, and your confirmation email and account show the same. By opening an account you accept our terms of service, which include this policy and our privacy policy.
For every subscription we keep the purchase time, the plan and price at checkout, your acceptance of the terms, the emails we sent, renewal notices and an activity log covering sign-ins, appraisals, listings and offers. Our payment operator holds its own record of each transaction, including the card's issuing country, where the payment was made from and the result of bank authentication such as 3D Secure. We assess claims against these records and provide them to your bank if a chargeback is raised.
7. Plans bought earlier
A plan bought before October 14, 2026 stays under the terms in force on the day of purchase until its current period ends.
